Staff Accountant - Plombon Insurance

Job Overview:

As a Staff Accountant at Plombon Insurance, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing the financial records of our company. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial data, assisting with financial analysis, and supporting various accounting functions. Staff Accountant - Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain financial records, including but not limited to general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Process invoices, expenses, and ensure accurate and timely payments.
Generate financial reports and assist in financial analysis as needed.
Prepare and file state and federal tax returns.
Collaborate with the finance team to streamline and improve accounting processes.
Participate in audits and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
Provide support for other accounting and financial tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or actively working towards CPA certification is a plus.
2+ years of accounting or finance experience.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of insurance industry accounting practices is a plus.
